Timeline: Inventions is a card game played using 109 cards. Each card depicts an invention on both sides, with the year in which that invention was created on only one side. Players take turns placing a card from their hand in a row on the table. After placing the card, the player reveals the date on it. If the card was placed correctly with the date in chronological order with all other cards on the table, the card stays in place; otherwise the card is removed from play and the player takes another card from the deck.

The first player to get rid of all his cards by placing them correctly wins. If multiple players go out in the same round, then everyone else is eliminated from play and each of those players are dealt one more card for another round of play. If only one player has no cards after a bonus round, he wins; otherwise play continues until a single player goes out.

Timeline: Inventions can be combined with any other title in the Timeline series.

Fun and Educational Review by Happy Gamer
Timeline is a very easy game to pick up. It has some very nice artwork printed on some sturdy little cards and will take up very little space on your shelf.

The rules are simple. Each player takes turns placing a card from their hand in a row on the table.

Where they place it depends on where they think it falls chronologically. Was the steam engine invented before the telephone? Maybe, but you won't know for sure until you turn the card over to see the year on the back. Get it right, and the card remains on the table, get it wrong and you discard the card and draw another.
Over the course of the game you slowly build a "timeline" on the table in front of you.
The rules are simple enough, and it is easy to introduce to non-gamers. The challenge comes from knowing or at least making a best guess at where your card falls in the timeline.

You can also combine it with the other Timeline games in the series making it even more challenging.

It's more of a filler game but at a cheap enough price to make it a value for money purchase. (Posted on 30/06/2015)
