The Qwirkle Board Game combines the logic and strategy of Set with the creative multi-maneuver game play of Scrabble. Easy-to-learn rules mean you'll be creating columns and rows of matching colors and shapes in no time! Look for opportunities to score big by placing a tile that touches multiple pieces and matches both shapes and colors; the player with the most points wins. 108 blocks.

While Qwirkle is as simple as matching colors and shapes, it is a game that also requires tactical maneuvers and well-planned strategy. The game consists of 108 wooden blocks with six different shapes in six colors. Using the blocks, players attempt to score the most points by building lines that share a common attribute - either color or shape. Qwirkle is a quick game to learn, but you'll soon discover that you'll need to think strategically in order to score the most points.

Best family game Review by Sunny
This is possibly our all time favourite family game. All our four children (ages 8 to 18) love it and so do my husband and I.
It is what I would call a perfect mixture between fun and challenge with just the right dose of brain work without making it hard work!
We would have played Quirkle more than any other game for sure - sometimes days or even weeks on end!
We've just given two games as presents to friends because we think it's the best family game around! (Posted on 14/10/2015)

Tests and trains pattern recognition Review by Tyrion
An unusual game which rewards those who can see patterns in colours and shapes. I imagine that young children could be as good as adults as the skills needed are intuitive. I plan to test this shortly on my 5, 6 and 8 year old grandchildren! The game is over relatively quickly, especially with 3-4 players and is a lot of fun. Strategy plays a large part but is balanced by the luck of the draw to some extent. And the end product is very pleasing to the eye! (Posted on 1/09/2015)

Like scrabble with pictures Review by LunaReview
For those of you with 'that person' in your family who gets the high scoring words in scrabble and knows "that's not a word", Quirkle is a great alternative. It's just like scrabble but instead of making words you have to connect the same colour or the same set of shapes together. It's not based on a board which means you can play wherever there's a flat surface.

It's one of those games that seems deceptively easy and but can be surprising difficult when played with some strategy behind it. Another one that's great for all ages, just make use you've got a big note pad because the scores get high really quick. This one can still be played really well as a 2 player, as well as with a whole party (just buy more packs for bigger games). And when you're done admire the pretty patterns you've created! Great Family Game Review by Bear
This is a great game, especially if as a family or group you include younger kids in it. Our family play it almost daily, and this includes my Kindy aged son. It is great for helping teach him matching colours, shapes, counting and patience.

The game can be very competative, or just fun pure and simple. It comes with everything you need, and only has one downside. The tiles are shiney, and in average lighting, or the wrong lighting, they are very hard to see. Some tile stands would be great, but other than that small factor it is one of the easiest, funnest games to get into. (Posted on 28/05/2015)
